About Nik Wilhelm
I love to capture beauty in unexpected places. I sometimes refer to myself as muse-driven, and that is not far from the truth; to me, breathing is an exhalation of creative intent.
I am primarily a photographer, and love to work with every sort of person, animal, and object I can point my lens at. My work has been described as irreverent, meaningful, and emotive.
Henri Carter-Bresson said “To take photographs means to recognize – simultaneously and within a fraction of a second - both the fact itself and the rigorous organization of visually perceived forms that give it meaning. It is putting one's head, one's eye, and one's heart on the same axis.”
It is with this in mind that I take photographs – with my head, eye, and heart on the same axis. |
